La Gemma orientale dei papi(1947)

剧情简介

In 1947, Alessandro Blasetti contributed three short films to a series of documentary shortscommissioned by Universalia Film centered around sacred places in Italy. Presented here are two of these shorts: La Gemma orientale dei papi and Castel Sant'Angelo, while the third, Il Duomo di Milano is available here. Aside from the inherent interest of the films and their topics, these films are beautifully photographed and edited; clearly the work of a director with a strong control of his medium.
